Title: User friendly, cost effective, fully supported online consultations
Authors: Newgrove
Subject: OpenLayers;MapServer;SharpMap;GeoAPI;NPack
Material Type: Case Study
Issue Date: 2010
Abstract: Like many Authorities, Tendring District Council were only too aware that the Local Development Framework process and the Localism Bill were going to lead to more public consultation. In the future the public, councillors and interest groups will not only be commenting on planning policy, but putting forward their own proposals. For Tendring this level of involvement increased the need for an online consultation system. The system had to be robust and efficient enough to be put into place quickly and efficiently. At the same time it had to be easy to use. It has to last well into the future and to cope with all the possible changing requirements.
